As promised, part 2 of Secondhand Stoke is now up on thrashermagazine.com. In Thrasher’s words, “Cesar Fernandez links together amazing, smooth lines while Tim and Eric have one of the most absurd, fun, creative parts ever. You’re gonna want to go skating after this one. Trust us.”

We couldn’t agree more. Part 3 coming next Saturday August 25th.

Hello Again, just wanted to let you guys know that our friend Roger just gave birth to a healthy new website. Everybody is healthy and doing fine. A little tired, but that’s to be expected.

Also wanted you to know that our first full-length video, Secondhand Stoke, will begin airing on August 11th at thrashermagazine.com. Hope you got your party pants on.

And… also wanted to tell you that Max Taylor just got kicked off of the Roger Flow Team. Read the fine print.

Oh, and here’s a link to my VICE Column from Monday. If you like old skateboard magazines you’ll probably dig it. If not, go do a switch hard flip and give a middle finger to an old dude.

The new rogerskateboards.com site should be finished tomorrow. Not exactly sure what that means for the future of this tumblr blog. Maybe nothing? Maybe everything? Either way, thanks for checking out our words and pictures the past few years. If this thing ceases to exist (or be updated) after tomorrow we hope you’ll make the short journey to our new home.

Also, we hope all of you had a good Go Skateboarding Day today. But more importantly, we hope you have good skateboarding days the other 364 days of the year. G.S.D. is kind of like Valentine’s Day. You don’t really need an excuse to love something.

We were trying to have the video trailer done this week, but it’s not going to happen. Not because we’re lazy, but just because it takes a long time to make something awesome. And we know you expect nothing but awesome x 2 from your friends at Roger. So next week we’ll have the trailer for our video done along with a brand new rogerskateboards.com. I know, I know… you’ll believe it when you see it. We appreciate your skepticism. We’re half-full dudes ourselves.

In the meantime, if you live in or near Atlanta, maybe I’ll see you at MODA this weekend? I’ll be the nervous dude trying to get Lance Mountain to sign my Suicidal Tendencies t-shirt. Skate Nerds Unite!

Working on the first trailer for the Roger Video this week. The video will be done this Summer and it just might make you quit skateboarding. For a number of reasons.

This has been in the works for a long time now. Say hello to the Fairdale / Roger bike. The bike comes with a complete Roger board (with Indy’s and Bones) and a super-functional skate rack. It has a coaster brake vs. a fixed wheel, so you don’t have to pedal the whole time you’re riding it, you can totally coast. Only 50 of these were made. Crazy, huh? At Roger, we like riding bikes and riding skateboards so we combined the two and are bringing you the best of both worlds. I know, I know… we’re just smart like that.

A few weeks ago Nate LaCoste and Bill Pierce were both coincidentally in Austin at the same time. Seemed like a good opportunity to have a Roger Team Rider Appreciation Day. So I took the two of them (along with my friend Brandon, Max Taylor, and Ryan Holloway) to Lockhart, TX for some Barbecue and then over to San Marcos, TX to go swimming in a spring-fed river. Unfortunately both of those towns have skateparks in them and the dudes got totally sidetracked from our Barbecue/swimming mission and ended up riding their toy skateboards and filming this montage instead of… you get the point.

Hi.

I painted this cruiser deck the other day for a benefit to support the Power House Productions Ride It Sculpture Park in Detroit. There will be 100 decks in the auction and I think you can start bidding tomorrow (today.) Looks like I’m in good company.

I drew this for Dylan because he’s out there doing this. Fun times await us all. All you have to do is quit: complaining/obsessing/stressing/worrying/hating/grouching/grumping/frumping/etc. Quit talking about doing stuff and go do stuff. Trust me, you’ll sleep better.

We finally came to an agreement about what The Roger Video is going to be titled, so there will be no more Rejected Working Titles for the Roger Video. At least not until we make another video.

Okay, one more Rejected Working Title for the Roger Video: The Disciples of Gelfand

That’s what I wanted to name the video for the past year or so, but we couldn’t get a thumbs up (or even a reply) from the dude that invented the ollie. So it goes… (I invented the Sieben Grind, so I know how it feels to be super important to skateboarding.) And just to clear things up, the video isn’t going to be called “Chill Out, Dickwad.” Not because thats not an awesome name for a video, but just because we have a different title in mind. Laterz, dorkz.
